NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

Notice is hereby given that the Twin Valley City Council will meet at the Twin Valley Community Center, located at 107 Second Street SW, Twin Valley, on Monday, June 24, 2024 at 7:00PM, to further consider a petition for annexation from property owners Michael & Jamie Kitchell to annex and commercially zone property located off County Highway 27 and MN State Highway 32 and described as follows:

 

PART OF THE SOUTHWEST QUARTER OF THE SOUTHEAST QUARTER OF SECTION 21, TOWNSHIP 144 NORTH, RANGE 44 WEST OF THE 5TH PRINCIPAL MERIDIAN, WILD RICE TOWNSHIP, NORMAN COUNTY, MINNESOTA, MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED AS FOLLOWS:

COMMENCING FROM THE SOUTH QUARTER CORNER OF SAID SECTION 21; THENCE S87°39'20"E ALONG THE SOUTH LINE OF THE SOUTHEAST QUARTER OF SAID SECTION A DISTANCE OF 661.43 FEET TO THE POINT OF BEGINNING; THENCE CONTINUING S87°39'20"E ALONG SAID SOUTH LINE A DISTANCE OF 564.77 FEET TO THE WESTERLY RIGHT-OF-WAY OF STATE HIGHWAY 32; THENCE N47°37'19"W ALONG SAID RIGHT-OF-WAY OF A DISTANCE OF 746.00 FEET; THENCE S01°34'43"W ALONG A LINE PARALLEL WITH THE WEST LINE OF THE SOUTHEAST QUARTER A DISTANCE OF 479.90 FEET TO THE SOUTH LINE OF THE SOUTHEAST QUARTER, THE POINT OF BEGINNING.

SAID TRACT OF LAND CONTAINS ±3.11 ACRES MORE OR LESS AND IS SUBJECT TO EASEMENTS AND RIGHTS OF WAY OF RECORD.

 

All persons interested may appear and be heard at the time and place set forth above, or may file written comments with the Twin Valley City Clerk prior to the date of the meeting set forth above.  Any questions concerning this petition for annexation may also be addressed by calling the Twin Valley City Clerk’s Office at 218.584.5254 prior to the hearing date.
