The PUBLIC WORKS Department provides the City of Twin Valley with many different services.

STREETS  handling the general maintenance of the city streets such as sweeping, snow removal, patching and repairs as well as day-to-day operations. 

PARKS the year-round activity with the mowing of city parks, ditches and city land to the flooding of the Ice Rink for winter enjoyment. The city maintains the Heiberg Park community and state rest areas just north of Twin Valley for picnics, reunion and family or group gatherings. 

UTILITIES continuing maintenance of the city's water treatment plant, the water tower, stabilization ponds (Lagoons) and city infrastructure.
 

SANITATION The City contracts with Fuch's Sanitation, Glyndon, MN to provide garbage hauling services for our residents.
Fuch's will pick up garbage on Thursday morning (unless it is a Federal Holiday).  Garbage needs to be at the curb by 5:00AM to ensure it gets collected.  Totes are provided to residents.

Larger items not considered household garbage may be taken to the Norman County Landfill for a fee.  The Norman County Demolition Landfill is open Saturday morning during the Spring/Summer from 8:00 AM until 1pm.

A metal collection dumpster is located on the corner of First Street SE and Cleveland AVE, next to the blue old City Shop building.  ONLY METAL ITEMS are to be placed into this dumpster.

Brush and leaf hauling is provided to our citizens from May through October.  There is a brush pit Northwest of the Lagoons for residents who wish to dispose of their own organic material.  (370th Street, follow the lagoons fencing heading west.)
